
Dr. Jitendra Sharma is a Professor and Dean at the Faculty of Design & Arts in Poornima University, Jaipur. He has a diverse background in animation, design, and photography, and has made significant contributions to both academic and professional realms.
Starting his professional journey in 2003 as a graphic designer and film editor, Dr. Jitendra worked on over 40 documentary films that were broadcast on DD National, and some TV commercials and shows. He later switched to become a 3D Animator at BIG Animation Studios in Pune from 2007 to 2009, where he played a vital role in the development of the award-winning 3D animated series Little Krishna, which earned international acclaim on Nickelodeon.
Dr. Jitendra then transitioned to academia in 2010, where he held various roles such as faculty at prestigious universities like Lovely Professional University in Punjab, Poornima University, and The IIS University, Jaipur. He not only delivered a diverse array of courses, including Graphic Design, Animation, and Photography but also actively participated in curriculum design and academic administration. His proficiency in strategic planning and execution significantly impacted the growth of the design school at Poornima University, where he currently serves as Professor and Dean.
The Faculty of Design & Arts at Poornima University has successfully organized various national and international art camps, symposiums, like SRIJAN and SIRJANA, and a series of international research conferences titled ICETDA. Dr. Jitendra Sharma has demonstrated a commitment to fostering academic excellence and cultivating robust industry connections. He has played a vital role in placing students in the animation and graphic design industries across India, establishing a strong professional network.
Dr. Jitendra Sharma is deeply immersed in research, as evidenced by his Ph.D. in Photography from Lovely Professional University. He is currently supervising his Ph.D. scholars across various domains, including Visual Arts, Animation, Game Design, Fashion Design, and Interior Design. As the Editor-In-Chief of the ShabdKosh: Journal of Visual and Performing Arts, Dr. Jitendra Sharma continues to make substantial contributions to the scholarly community.
Dr. Jitendra's research interests span photography, design, film, animation, and photojournalism, as reflected in his extensive list of research projects, publications, and participation in conferences. He is also an accomplished photographer, earning recognition through awards and participation in international exhibitions. Dr. Jitendra Sharma is a member of professional bodies like the Education Research and Development Association (ERDA) and the Association of Designers of India (ADI). He actively contributes to design projects and contests in various universities, serving as a judge and jury member.
In his personal life, Dr. Jitendra Sharma is passionate about high-altitude trekking in the Himalayas and practices spirituality and meditation. His rich and diverse experiences in creativity, academia, and industry create a compelling narrative.

Kumar Rahul Mayank is a distinguished Design Enthusiast and Fashion & Textile Designer with over 15 years of extensive experience. Graduating with a Gold medal in Fashion & Textile Design from NIFT, Gandhinagar, he embarked on a dynamic career journey. Starting at Synergy Lifestyles, Mumbai, he gained recognition and moved to Jaipur, delving into the export market with Alacrity International and later serving as Head Designer at Ocean Exim for prominent brands. His global exposure led him to Jaipur Rugs and GAD Fashion, enhancing his understanding of design, marketing, and merchandising on an international scale.
As an entrepreneur, Kumar founded J Paper Studio Pvt. Ltd., promoting sustainable practices and traditional Indian crafts. Simultaneously, he ventured into academia, serving as Academic Head at IIFA India, School of Design, Jaipur. Despite withdrawing from full-time responsibilities, he remained connected with academics and pursued an MBA in marketing. Balancing entrepreneurship and academia, Kumar excelled in diverse projects for global companies, showcasing his prowess as a versatile Designer, Marketer, Academician, and Mentor.
